Puffin's Cove, 20"x16" Charcoal on Canvas, August 2021 Puffins hold a special place in my heart because they remind me of my aunt Betty. You see, my aunt was a very inspiring woman who touched the lives of many through the non-profit program "Birder's Exchange" and efforts involving birding. When she passed away, I was amazed by the amount of letters and stories that flooded through the mail all talking about the lives she touched, the people she inspired and the legacy she left. This artwork dated back to a memory of mine that involved puffins. She had a painting of puffins on her wall and I would always look at it when I was younger. As a result I became quite fond of puffins because I thought their shape and colors were so perfectly created. Therefore, I wanted to create a drawing that would capture the energy of the seaside with the puffins as the main event. As a result, Puffin's Cove was born. Original Charcoal on Canvas
