As a kid from New England I was used to seeing sparrows quite often everywhere I went. I feel at times many people overlook the beauty of the sparrow because of how small they are. However, their feather coloring is complex and beautiful when a good amount of time is taken to look at them. This drawing was the result of carefully analyzing the sparrow in a tree while I was sitting on the back porch during a visit at my parent's house in Massachusetts.
