Bison are a classic American treasure deeply valued for their powerful nature and robust character. The power of the bison is something that always caught my attention as I have personally valued the heritage they bring to the plains of our great nation.
I wanted to portray much of the western experience of being up close and personal with a Bison which is why I used the first third of the body up to the shoulder on the canvas.
